Cornwell Manor Unveiled

Diversifying historic family estates into wedding venues and private event spaces has become increasingly commonplace.  Many families now choose to live in a cottage on the grounds whilst renting out the “big house,” allowing them to keep the estate in the family and make money to mend the roof whilst giving guests the opportunity to experience these remarkable properties—whether attending a wedding, watching open-air theatre, or strolling through the gardens on an open day.

 One of the prettiest estates to embrace this approach is Cornwell Manor in the Cotswolds.  Dating back to the Doomsday Book and with its Georgian façade, it is a quintessentially English country estate, complete with a Norman church, elegant ballroom, sweeping terrace, Italiante water garden, a croquet lawn and twenty-four luxurious bedrooms.

As a supplier we love working here.  Access to both the ballroom and the marquee is straightforward, and the in-house team along with the wedding planners are always a pleasure to collaborate with.  During the summers of 2024 and 2025, House of Furn delivered a dozen times, and on each visit a different space came to life – Elliana chairs circling the fountain for the ceremony, James chairs gathered around the dining table nestled amongst the topiary and sofas and armchairs styled in the formal gardens.  Our Amalfi range completed the weekends by hosting the Sunday brunch by the swimming pool.
